Police say an 18-year-old was airlifted to the hospital after veering off the road and crashing into an electrical pole in Suffolk, Friday.

Suffolk Fire & Rescue personnel provided emergency medical assessment and treatment and the 18-year-old male driver was airlifted by Nightingale to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Just after midnight, a teen that was driving on Deer Path Road veered off the roadway and crashed into an electrical pole. The car came to rest in a ditch. The teen suffered non-life threatening injuries, and was airlifted to a hospital for treatment. The passenger in the car was not injured. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
