2 dead in head-on collision on Carolina Road
Police say two people have died after a head-on collision on Carolina Road just north of Deer Forest Road in the Whaleyville Borough area, Tuesday morning.

Authorities received report of a head-on collision between a pickup truck and an SUV on Carolina Street at about 6:28 a.m. They arrived to find one man trapped in each vehicle, and extricated Dale Warren Saunders, 59, from the pickup and Gail G. Ayers, 60, from the SUV. One of them was deceased at the scene while the other was pronounced dead at the hospital. More details on the cause of the accident have yet to be released.
