A 63-year-old Emporia woman was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Route 622 in Greensville County.
A 63-year-old Emporia woman was killed Monday in a single-vehicle crash on Route 622 in Greensville County.
Patricia Anne Soler, of the 6000 block of Little Low Ground in Emporia, was traveling northbound on Route 622, also known as Little Low Ground Road, near Route 629 when she lost control and struck a tree, said a spokeswoman for Virginia State Police. Soler was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said.
Soler was transported to Southern Virginia Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries where she later died, police said.
The crash remains under investigation by State Police. Police have determined weather did not play a factor in the crash, police said. However, it is unclear if alcohol was a factor in the accident.
