This man should have his life taken thiss woman was a great person, but everything does happen for a reason . All of her friends and family know that she is in heaven with our lord watching over all of us. My heart is broken she will always be loved and greatly missed. We love you mary and never will forget you and the things youve done. Jamie and walker never forget shes right there watching over you guys and will always be proud of you both.

While I am confident that Ms. Smith was a wonderful woman and that this is tragic I wonder if anyone investigated the whole story. Took the time to discover if it could have been avoided?  It seems that the man charged Ikieem Kilpatrick has a lengthy mental health past and we know not of his mental state during this incident. Nonetheless  when a police officer pulls a person over aren't they alerted that he or she suffers from mental health issues?  Richmond have a pastor  Apostle Anthony Taylor die because of the same events? Police high speed chase in a residental neighborhood. When will this stop or are the police exempt from blame?  Common sense tells me the following....People do not run when they aren't being chased. The story said he was stopped prior and only a ticket was being issued. If it was a minor traffic stop why chase him? You had his name and license plate, pick him up later. Duh. The whole community was placed in danger by these officers.  All because the police did not follow protocol.  How many times will they be eaolved of ANY wrongdoing  and treated like heroes? It is sad that Ms Smith paid for this gross negligence  from all parties with her life.
