Tuscaloosa man killed in Virginia crash after driver falls asleep

A Tuscaloosa man was killed in a crash in Virginia on Tuesday when his son-in-law fell asleep at the wheel, authorities said. State police said Milton Bell of Tuscaloosa was driving when he fell asleep and lost control and hit a guardrail. Bell, his wife, Carolyn Cooper-Bell, and their son, Aaron Bell, were also wearing seat belts and suffered minor injuries. He tried to regain control but overcorrected and hit the guardrail again, and the vehicle overturned in the center of the road. He was in a secured wheelchair and was wearing a seat belt at the time.
