One Dead, Another Injured in Prince William County Crash

The investigation revealed that Ayers was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Prince William Parkway when his vehicle collided head-on with the female's 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, which was traveling westbound.
One person is dead following a two-vehicle crash on Prince William Parkway in Manassas, Virginia. Prince William County Police officers were called to Prince William Parkway near Crooked Knoll Way just before 2 a.m. Tuesday. Jason Nathaniel Ayers, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other driver, a 23-year-old Alexandria woman, was flown to an area hospital with serious injuries. The investigation revealed that Ayers was driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of the Prince William Parkway when his vehicle collided head-on with the female's 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, which was traveling westbound. Speed is not believed to be a factor in the collision, police said, but potential drug and alcohol use remain under investigation.
