Two seriously hurt in head-on collision in Anacortes

The teen was conscious when police arrived, but also had multiple fractures. His condition when transported was considered serious, Francis said.

According to the Washington State Patrol  Press Memo, Christopher Weidemann, 45, of Anacortes was Traveling Eastbound on State Route 20 at the Spur, in a grey  2006  Kia Spectra (vehicle 1)  when he crossed the double Center line and struck a Westbound  blue 2001 Oldsmobile PT (vehicle 2)  head-on.

Just before 10:00pm, a 45-year-old man driving on Highway 20 crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle driven by an 18-year-old man head-on. Both drivers sustained multiple fractures in the collision, but the 45-year-old man was knocked unconsious and had injuries that were considered life-threatening, while the 18-year-old man was conscious but still in serious condition. We will update this accident as more information is released.
