2 die in accident on Highway 20 at Reservation Road

Two people from Oak Harbor died following a one-vehicle accident Wednesday morning on Highway 20, according to the State Patrol.

Troopers are still looking into what caused the crash but say they don't believe the driver was impaired.

The two people were riding in a 2004 Explorer east on Highway 20 when the vehicle left the roadway to the right, and struck a cement barrier. They were arilifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle where both later died. The accident is still under investigation. A portion of the highway was shut down while emergency crews worked.
