A passenger was critically injured Sunday in a collision that blocked all lanes on northbound Interstate 405 Kirkland for hours, troopers said.

A passenger was critically injured Sunday in a collision that blocked all lanes on northbound Interstate 405 Kirkland for hours, troopers said. The crash happened before noon on the northbound lanes of I-405 at Northeast 116th, just north of the 520 bridge. Troopers said the driver of a pickup truck was traveling at a high speed when he struck a Honda and rolled over. A passenger in the truck was ejected from the vehicle. She was taken to Harborview Medical Center and is in critical condition. The driver has serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Honda was taken to Overlake Hospital and his condition is unknown. According to troopers, the crash is being investigated as a vehicular assault.
