State troopers and medics responded to the scene, on Highway 510 near Thornton Road, at about 10 a.m. after receiving reports of a serious collision.

At about 10:00 am, an the driver of an eastbound vehicle on Highway 510 somehow lost control and swerved into the westbound lane, where it collided with another vehicle head-on. Troopers and medics arrived at the scene to find both drivers injured, the the driver of the westbound vehicle eventually died.
