A woman riding a bike on Highway 2 was struck by a pickup truck and killed Wednesday night in Monroe.

MONROE -- A bicyclist was killed Wednesday night in what police are describing as a hit-and-run crash in Monroe.
The collision occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. at U.S. 2 and Old Owen Road.
A Monroe bicyclist is dead after being hit three times by three different cars Wednesday night. It happened on Highway 2 near Old Owen Road around 7:30 p.m. Two of the drivers pulled over, but the one who initially hit the woman didn't. Snohomish County Sheriff s Office sheriff's deputies thought a truck found at a Park & Ride near Gold Bar may have belonged to the first driver, but Monroe police later determined it was not associated with the hit-and-run. People in the area say the way the intersection is designed, another incident is destined to happen again.
