A man was killed in a logging accident Monday in the woods near Morton.

The Lewis County sheriff’s office says 21-year-old Tyler Bryan of Toledo was struck by a log dangling from a cable as it was being hauled about 1,500 feet up a steep slope. Sgt. Rob Snaza says the spinning log hit Bryan as he was working on the ground below.

His father, Ken Bryan of Toledo, told The Daily News Tyler and his fiancee were expecting their first child in two months.
