A Kent-Meridian High School teen has died after suffering serious injuries in a "car surfing" incident. Lupo Benson died just after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
At about 1:50pm, four men who were working on the Highway 99 Tunnel Project were installing rebar on a 25-foot wall when it for some reason gave out, causing the workers to fall to the ground. The identities of the men have not been released, but their ages are 23, 29, 31, and 36.

Two young people killed Thursday while taking a late-night joy ride in an excavator parked at a logging site near Wilkeson have been identified as Jared Lanphear and Aeriel Strough, both 22 years old. The Pierce County Medical Examiner’s office said Lanphear is from Buckley.
A man was killed in a logging accident Monday in the woods near Morton.
