Two dead in wrong way crash on SR 512

According to the Washington State Patrol, the car turned from SR 7 onto the SR 512 offramp around 4 pm. A vehicle on the offramp tried to wave down the vehicle to let it know if was going the wrong way. But the wrong way driver hit that car, went around it and drove onto SR 512. The driver hit three vehicles on the highway, losing control and spinning out after the last collision.

One other driver was transported to the hospital as was in surgery as of late Monday night. Troopers say a four-year-old also was taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver of another car spotted the wrong-way driver and blocked the roadway with their car, yelling at them to turn around.

Cruz reportedly ignored the second driver, authorities say, striking the car and plowing through onto the freeway.

Comments

I served with Robert and I still don't believe it a week later. This is affecting a slot of people who knew him and the best comments are uncalled for.

Negative comments, not best.

Negative comments are you kidding me . Because of his reckless actions no matter the reasons he killed someone . Someone who didn't deserve to die . He also severely hurt others and could have killed an innocent child . Being a mother to a very small child myself and someone who drives that highway daily I do not griev for your friend . If he wanted to end his own life why take other with him . I understand you served and knew probably a great man but the man who decided to get into his car that day and kill and/or injur others was not the man you knew . That man took another's life and deserved what happened

He didn't deserve to die. He was loved in our unit and yes it was stupid of him. But to say he deserved it because he killed someone else and inured others is just ignorant. Say that to his family, I dare you.

I feel for his wife and children

God bless the family and the victims. I was at the wake. It was so depressing to hear family and friends talk about Ravi and Brandon. I was invited to comfort the family, and they were all so upset. I was truly deviatated, but I know God is taking care of his 2 newest Angels.
