4 hurt in crash involving possibly intoxicated teen driver

The crash happened at South 136th Street and Des Moines Memorial Drive South just after 9 p.m. and was so violent that it ripped a pickup in half.

According to fire officials, it appeared someone ran a red light.

 

Judge orders 15-year-old crash suspect placed on house arrest

In court, the 15-year-old's lawyer argued there is no evidence she was even driving the car at all.

The judge rejected that argument and said there is probable cause for the case to move forward.

Teen in crash that badly injured father, young son will likely face charges

Friends and family have come together to raise money for the victims.

Angelo's Italian Restaurant in Burien, where the father works, has set up a GoFundMe page.

UPDATE: 7-year-old boy paralyzed from devastating King County crash

A 7-year-old boy was paralyzed and his father is in critical condition after the pickup truck they were riding in was T-boned by a BMW traveling at an “incredibly high speed,” according to the statement of probable cause from the King County Sheriff’s Office. The BMW was allegedly driven by a 15-year-old female who police suspect was under the influence.

In the meantime, Schmidt along with the family at Angelo’s, have organized a fundraising effort on GoFundMe. The money will go towards Lorenzo and Xavier’s medical bills. Lorenzo will also need a new car to get to work in and likely will need rehabilitation work.
