Car driver airlifted to Harborview after car-bus collision

A woman in her 50s was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center when her car and a Metro bus collided in the 5700 block of Bothell Way Northeast just after 5 p.m. today, a King County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said.

A woman in her 50s was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center when her car and a Metro bus collided in the 5700 block of Bothell Way Northeast just after 5 p.m. today, a King County Sheriff’s spokeswoman said. The car was was hit in the driver’s side when the vehicle  pulled out in front of the bus from the lot of a dental clinic, said Cindi West, the spokeswoman. The impact caused the car to spin out to the right, and while the driver was conscious when deputies arrived, West said, her injuries were serious enough to merit being airlifted to the hospital. None of the passengers on the bus reported injuries, West said.
