4 workers injured when section of Highway 99 tunnel project collapsed

This is not the area where the Bertha tunnel machine is stuck, but the other side of the tunnel where excavation work has been moving along pretty much on schedule.

At about 1:50pm, four men who were working on the Highway 99 Tunnel Project were installing rebar on a 25-foot wall when it for some reason gave out, causing the workers to fall to the ground. The identities of the men have not been released, but their ages are 23, 29, 31, and 36. Three of the victims sustained injuries but could walk away from the accident, but one man was seriously injured and had to be carried out by firefighters. Check back for updates.
