The Washington State Patrol is investigating a collision between an SUV and a school bus that sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated but we do know that a female driver rear-ended the school bus as the bus was trying to turn left onto Roitz Rd. The driver of the bus and the SUV are fine as well.

A school bus carrying students to Loon Lake Elementary was heading southbound on Highway 395 when it stopped to make a turn on Roitz Road. An SUV that was following the bus rear-ended it, doing little damage to the bus but totaling the SUV. The drivers of both vehicles suffered minor injuries and were sent to a local hopsital. The children onboard were not hurt and were taken to school on another bus. The driver of the SUV was cited for following the bus too closely.
