Distracted driving causes crash on US195 near Spangle

The Washington State Patrol is investigating a single-car rollover that happened on Highway 195 just south of Cheney-Spangle road early Wednesday.

Troopers say 36-year-old Wynter Spencer of Lewiston, Idaho was heading north on 195 when she drove her car onto the shoulder, over corrected and crossed into the southbound lanes.

Driver seriously injured in Highway 195 rollover crash

Wynter W. Spencer, 36, was thrown from her vehicle after it rolled and came to a stop in a wheat field. She was transported by helicopter to Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Wynter Spencer was driving on Highway 195 when her car drove onto the northbound shoulder and she overcorrected, crossing the southbound lanes, then rolling over and coming to a rest in a field on the side of the road. She was airlifted to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the cause of the crash was distracted riving and negligent driving charges will be filed.
