Two people dead, driver in custody for vehicular homicide after crash on Highway 27 south of Spokane

When crews arrived on scene about three miles south of Spokane Valley near Dishman Mica, the car was fully engulfed in flames. Two people died in the crash.

One of the passengers has been identified as Taylor J. Parkins, 20, of Spokane Valley. She died at the scene. The name of the second person killed in the crash has not yet been released.

Madrid’s aunt has launched a Go Fund Me[1] page to raise money for funeral expenses. A page has also been set up[2] for Parkins, with the family indicating that some of the money raised will be used to install a memorial bench in her honor at the Sullivan Park Care Center where she worked.
