SPOKANE, Wash. -- Authorities said the intersection between Market and Garland was closed Friday evening due to a fatal crash. Authorities said a motorcycle and car were involved. Garland and Market streets were both closed in the area and some surrounding streets. Roads were still closed at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Police are investigating a fatal crash near Market and Garland. Police are investigating a fatal crash between a motorcyclist and a Ford pickup Friday evening. Officers on the scene say a 22-year-old man was driving the motorcycle near the intersection of Market and Garland when he sped through a yellow light. The Ford truck hit the front of the motorcycle. Paramedics on scene tried to revive the motorcyclist, but were unsuccessful.
