Two children hurt in multi-car wreck near Sullivan

According to police, the wreck happened when a car swerved into oncoming traffic near Sullivan and Kiernan. SPOKANE, Wash. – Spokane Police are investigating a four car wreck that happened on Wednesday evening and sent five people to the hospital, including two children. Police are still deciding whether or not any charges will be filed from Wednesday's wreck. According to the Washington Traffic Commission, the number of people hurt in car wrecks has been declining. One woman was trapped in her car for nearly an hour before rescuers had to cut her out.

UPDATE: Driver told deputies she had seizure prior to Spokane Valley crash

She told deputies her driver's license was suspended, which deputies did confirm. The woman, who has not been identified, told deputies she suffers from seizures and had one prior to the collision but didn't remember what actually happened. One driver had to be cut out of her vehicle following the crash near Sullivan and Kiernan An extrication crash shut down part of Sullivan at Kiernan in Spokane Valley Wednesday evening. Witnesses told Sheriff's deputies they saw a 1997 Cadillac driving south on Sullivan Road approaching a green light. Police told KHQ's Patrick Erickson that the crashed was caused by a wrong way driver.
