According to a press release from the Washington State Patrol, 21-year-old Katerina S. Jahn was westbound in a white 2004 Ford Focus on Highway 2 when she struck a pedestrian walking in the westbound lane at milepost 281.5 near Russell Road.

Two people died and seven others were injured in a two-vehicle crash near Mattawa Sunday night. Juan Gonzalez, 65, and Maria Gonzalez Hernandez, 29, both of Mattawa, were deceased at the crash site.
