Toppenish man dies in crash outside Wapato

Manuel Guzman was driving a 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier south on Track Road about 5 p.m. when the car left the roadway, according to a news release issued by the Washington State Patrol. When the driver overcorrected, the car rolled, throwing him from the vehicle, the State Patrol said. Guzman died at the scene. Two passengers, Miguel U. Ruiz, 19, and Alexander J. Arias, 16, both of Toppenish, were treated for injuries at the scene and released.

Both passengers were wearing seat belts, but Guzman was not, according to State Patrol.
