Five injured in Fond du Lac Co. I-41 crash
Five people were injured in a crash that had blocked traffic on Interstate 41 at Hwy. OO in Fond du Lac County for nearly six hours Wednesday afternoon.
Five injured, two critically, in highway crash near Fond du Lac
According to the release, the car was pushed into a Chevrolet 3500 truck, which then rear-ended another passenger car.
It was about 1:55pm when a southbound car on I-41 driven by a 72-year-old man slowed for a construction zone, and was struck from behind by a semi-truck. This initial collision caused the man's car to fly forward into the rear of a pickup truck, which then rear-ended another car. The 72-year-old man and his 69-year-old female passenger were both critically injured in the crash, while the 24-year-old male semi-truck driver, 47-year-old male pickup driver, and 66-year-old female passenger in the second car were hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries. We will add the names of those involved as they are released to the public.
