The woman told police she was thinking of moving into the right lane of traffic when she saw a vehicle traveling at a "very high rate of speed" approaching in the right lane. She estimated the vehicle to be traveling 65 miles per hour.

DeAngelis, of Winneconne, was stopped at a train crossing when a vehicle driven by Ronnfeldt struck him from behind. His car rolled over and he was declared dead at the scene. Ronnfeldt subsequently fled and was discoverd by police hiding behind a tree, after which he failed a sobriety test.
