Vice chancellor, registrar struck by car

The chancellor told the La Crosse Tribune witnesses say Hetzel saw the car coming toward them and pushed Bakkum out of the way.
Two administrators for the University of Wisconsin in La Crosse suffered injuries after being hit by a car while walking to work Wednesday, October 22. Bob Hetzel, chancellor of administration and finance, sustained the most severe injuries with broken bones and possibly faces surgery. Christine Bakkum, the university's registrar, was pushed out of the line of danger by Hetzel, and suffered minor injuries. She was treated and released.
