Update: Milwaukee police identify men killed in wreck at Sherman & Roosevelt

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police have identified on Thursday, December 31st the two men killed in a two-vehicle collision at Sherman and Roosevelt that happened on Wednesday, December 30th. Police say 57-year-old Terry Jackson of Milwaukee, and 59-year-old Darrell Thompson of Milwaukee, were pronounced dead at the scene. Police say the SUV fled and eventually struck a tan four-door sedan at Sherman and Roosevelt — killing Jackson and Thompson. The driver of the stolen SUV now faces the following charges: This case will be presented to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days. According to police, the crash occurred around 9:30 a.m. when a driver and passenger of a stolen SUV, 21 and 22-year-old women from Milwaukee, refused to stop when an officer attempted to pull them over.

MILWAUKEE — The family of 23-year-old Jasmine Ray, charged in connection with a crash that killed two men near Sherman and Roosevelt is making an emotional apology. According to the complaint, Ray said she initially lied about what happened because she was too young to go to jail for murder. Police say Ray told them she had argued with someone prior to the crash, and that person waved a gun. This woman was later identified as Jasmine Ray. The argument was over who actually owned the vehicle — Ray or another woman.
