A pickup truck failed to stop and rear ended another vehicle, setting off a chain reaction involving five vehicles. A total of 12 people were involved.

Preliminary investigation shows that numerous vehicles were traveling east on Highway 60, when they slowed to a stop due to a traffic backup near County P.

Dodge County Sheriff Pat Ninmann said an eastbound pickup truck failed to stop and struck the rear of the vehicle ahead of it, causing a chain reaction crash involving five vehicles.

A woman killed in a five-vehicle chain-reaction crash that injured seven people in Dodge County was identified Wednesday as Cheryl M. Notz, 69, of Warrenton, Mo.
One person was killed and six others were injured in a five-car chain reaction crash in Rubicon. A preliminary investigation found several vehicles had stopped due to a traffic backup near County Highway P, when a pickup rear-ended a vehicle, sending it crashing into other vehicles.  Six people were injured and transported to Hartford and Summit Hospitals for treatment. One person was killed.
