One person is dead and another is injured after a truck vs. train collision in Baldwin, Wis., Wednesday. The St. Croix County Sheriff’s Office said a pick-up truck was leaving a business in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 21 around noon. It was headed north on the highway when it crossed the tracks. According to witnesses, the driver of the truck tried to reverse and get off the track, but was hit on its passenger side. The driver, a 69-year-old man, later identified as Roy Lee Marske 69, from Cumberland, Wis., was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The passenger, identified as Gloria Helen Marske 69, from was pulled from the truck and taken to an area hospital where she was pronounced dead. Names are being withheld until family can be notified. No other injuries were reported. The train was carrying mixed cargo containers.
