According to Virginia State Police, the single-vehicle crash happened on Route 614 east of Route 613 in Accomack County at 4:15 p.m. Saturday.
Troopers said a Honda CRV, driven by Pauline Frances Lilliston, ran off the road and hit a tree.
Lilliston was taken to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. State Police said Lilliston died Saturday as a result of her injuries.
