Police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a skateboarder early Saturday morning. Authorities said the crash happened on the Interstate 10 service road near Bundy Road about 1:30 a.m. Investigators said the 21-year-old man was struck by a motorist and found lying on the side of the road. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. There were no witnesses present at the time.

Authorities have identified the man killed in a Peterborough crash as 51-year-old Michael Dugrenier.

Dugrenier, of Peterborough, was walking on Route 202 Friday night when police say he was hit by a vehicle.

The driver, Paul Blais, is from Concord. No charges have been filed in the case; investigators are still trying to figure out what led up to the crash.

A New Hampshire woman in charge of caring for three infants at a child care center is facing a number of charges.

Merrimack, NH police say Casey Lever, 29, of New Boston, NH, was drunk at work on Friday and was asked to leave.

Lever was taking care of a 2-month-old, a 5-month-old and 11-month-old at the time.

A short time later, an officer pulled over Lever, who was driving on Twin Bridge Road with her 5-year-old daughter in the car. The daughter was turned over to her father’s care.

A Buffalo man who tried to avoid a traffic stop about 11:20 a.m. Friday on the Kensington Expressway ended up crashing into a tree, state police said.

Seth H. Deitsch, 33, of Niagara Street, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a hypodermic needle, after police said they found a hypodermic needle and spoon with heroin residue. He also was charged with fleeing from police, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and reckless driving.

Two teen boys died Friday night when an SUV hit them as they pushed a broken car down a rural road, according to Apopka Police.

The deceased have been identified as Axel Padro and Cameron Gabriel Gonzalez. Both were 18 years old.

Police told reporters a third teen also was pushing the car, but jumped out of the way before the crash. A fourth teen, behind the wheel of the car, also was not hurt.

"The crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time," Apopka Police said.

Rhode Island State Police are identifying victims of a wrong-way crash on Interstate 95 in Pawtucket that killed one woman.

Police said on Saturday that 27-year-old Sheng Zhou, of Riverside, suffered fatal injuries during the early-morning crash on Friday. She was a passenger in the SUV hit by the wrong-way driver and died in hospital about an hour after the crash.

Police identified the wrong-way driver as Estefani Almanzar, of Providence. She was alone in the car and remains in critical condition.

New York state police say a life was lost in a crash that tied up the New England Thruway for hours between Westchester County and Connecticut.

The crash occurred around 2:30 a.m. Friday in Rye near the entrance ramp from I-287 to northbound I-95.

The ensuing traffic jam continued into the morning rush-hour.

Police say a car struck a parked State Thruway pickup truck. The truck rolled and the car hit a concrete barrier.

The person who died was riding in the front seat of the car. A back-seat passenger suffered serious injuries.

A police officer and teenager are both expected to be okay after a crash Friday morning.

The incident happened just after 8:00 a.m. on Old Leeds Road near Shades Valley High School.

Authorities say the officer noticed a vehicle speeding and tried to make a u-turn to catch up with the driver.

That’s when he hit a car, attempting to pass him on his left lane.

A 17 year old female was inside the vehicle. She was taken to the hospital to be checked out.

Emergency crews responded Friday afternoon to multiple crashes that resulted in about a half-dozen injuries and the closure of one northbound lane of Interstate 95 just northeast of Benson.

Three crashes happened between 3 and 3:30 p.m. near the highway’s interchange with Interstate 40, according to the State Highway Patrol, though it’s unclear if they were connected. The crashes were spread between mile markers 79 and 84, the patrol reported.
