Two people were injured Wednesday morning, April 2, when two cars collided on Mount Baker Highway at Britton Road. A westbound 1994 Honda Accord was turning left onto Britton Road at about 11:05 a.m. when it was hit by an eastbound 1998 Ford Escort. The crash shoved the Honda into a North Whatcom Fire and Rescue SUV that was stopped in the turn lane on Britton. Two Honda passengers were injured. Francisca S. Rabang-Warbus, 36, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with a broken pelvis and broken wrist. Thomas R. Warbus, 36, was taken by ambulance to St. Joseph Hospital.

Alaska State Troopers say a 32-year-old Mentasta man has died in a single-vehicle crash on the Old Richardson Highway. Charles David III was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash Thursday at Copper Center. Troopers say David was heading north near mile 105 of the highway when his Chevrolet Monte Carlo left the roadway and overturned. David was ejected. Troopers say it doesn't appear a seatbelt was used. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash. The state medical examiner's office will conduct an autopsy.

The driver of a vehicle thrown from an interstate overpass in Opelika Friday morning has died, Opelika police confirm. Benjamin Rice, 32, of Lanett, was not wearing his seatbelt as he drove to his job at Auburn University, information from Opelika police and the county coroner suggests. Around 7:50a ct, Rice was driving southbound on Interstate 85 when his 2004 Ford F-150 flipped near the highway's overpass with South Long Street. The vehicle came to rest on the bridge's guardrail.

The Minnesota State Patrol is identifying the four people killed Friday near Sleepy Eye on icy roads. It happened on Highway 14 in Brown County just after 8 p.m. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix was headed westbound on Highway 14, going into a curve heading southbound, when it lost control and entered into the opposite lane of traffic. It was hit broadside by a 1999 Dodge Ram headed northbound into the curve.

A fatal crash occurred Wednesday night in Creek County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports. Arlie Clint Cates, 49, of Bristow, died from injuries suffered in a crash about 11:45 p.m. on State Highway 66 just west of W 271 Street, the patrol reports. Cates died in a Sapulpa hospital after the crash. Passenger Davied Van Orsdol, 49, of Bristow, was taken to a Tulsa hospital where he was treated for a back injury. Seat belts were not in use. Cates was driving east on SH 66 when he drove off the roadway. Cates and Orsdol were ejected.

A man from Byron Center was killed in a three-vehicle crash that happened Thursday afternoon on the east side of the state. Dick Allen Versendaal, 76, was killed when his SUV hit a pickup truck around 3:30 p.m. on Van Dyke Avenue in Bruce Township, which is about 40 miles north of Detroit. Witnesses said Versendaal was driving the wrong way on the street when hit the pickup head-on, according to Michigan State Police.

Donald Jeffries, 50, of Goshen was traveling east on Highway 36 around 11:30 a.m. when his vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound vehicle driven by Stephen Wise. Jeffries, who was not wearing a seat belt, was transported by ambulance to the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Wise, 35, was flown to University of Louisville Hospital. Nicole Wise, a 34 year-old passenger traveling with Stephen Wise was transported by helicopter to University of Louisville Hospital. A juvenile passenger in Wise’s vehicle was flown to Kosair Children’s Hospital in Louisville.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies say alcohol was a factor in an early morning crash that injured three people. The crash occurred about 2:40 a,m on Kellogg Avenue as Steve Wayne Taulbee, 22, was driving east, Hamilton County deputies said. Taulbee changed lanes to the left and lost control of his 1995 Honda Accord. The car left the road and its left side struck a wall, the Honda then bounced off the wall and the front left corner hit a utility pole. Taulbee, of New Richmond, and two passengers in his back seat were injured, deputies aid.

Investigators believe a fatal car accident discovered in the 25800 block of East River Road near Otis Orchards at 4 p.m. today actually occurred around 7 p.m. Wednesday. A 911 caller reported seeing a car about 150 feet down an embankment on the north side of the Spokane River and what appeared to be a body near the car. It appears that the driver was heading east when the car went down the embankment and rolled multiple times. The woman, later identified as Jordyn Bouquet, 23, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected.

A helicopter airlifted a 23-year-old man to St. Joseph Hospital Tuesday afternoon when a Jeep crashed about 200 feet over an embankment near the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The driver, Taylor Armstrong, 23, over-corrected the Jeep at a left curve in the road, about a mile from the nearest lodge, while coming down from the mountain around 3:35 p.m. One of the passengers, Paul Davis,23, from Normandy Park, didn't have a seatbelt on and was thrown from the Jeep about halfway down. He was airlifted to the Bellingham hospital.
