The chase began when an officer was pulling over the truck for a tail light being out. After the fiery crash, both the driver of the pickup and the deputy in the car that was crashed into were taken to the hospital. Officers later found out that the truck was stolen.

The bus was doing between 20-25 mph when it struck a house in Richmond around 5:30 p.m.Resident Ashley Ortega found her 3-month-old son sitting in his bouncy chair, in the living room, looking up at an AC Transit bus. The gas service line was severed and leaking. Meanwhile seven dazed and bloody passengers, including two children and a bus driver, were trying to escape the bus. Police say they arrested a juvenile male passenger, but his older brother Richard Contreras, the driver, got away on foot.

Three teenagers died when a stolen car crashed into a tree and caught fire after a chase early Friday, authorities said. The names of those killed have not been released, but police say they were a girl and two boys, all 16 and all from Modesto. According to Modesto Police Sgt. David Chamberlain, a police officer in central Modesto tried to stop a car after seeing the driver violate a vehicle code at 11:40 p.m.

Two teens from Butler County, one 16-years-old and the other 15, were convicted in the death of Nicole Denney, a 14-year-old from West Chester. Denney was riding in a stolen car with the 16-year-old, her boyfriend, when the crash occured. The two teen drivers raced a short distance when Denney's boyfriend crashed near the intersection of Mosley Drive and Cornell Avenue. It took firefighters two hours to cut Denney out of the destroyed car.

D.C. Police are searching for the driver of a stolen minivan who struck a 22-year-old D.C. woman in the Shaw neighborhood Saturday night, severely injuring her. The woman was crossing Rhode Island Avenue around 9:30 p.m. when she was struck by the van. Her injuries were so massive that she wasn't expected to survive at first. She has now regained consciousness and spoke by phone from her hospital bed. "After he hit me, he ran over me again, and I became unconscious. I know I felt afterward, 'I am dying,'" said the woman, who asked that her name not be used.

A man is dead after he crashed during a high-speed police chase Wednesday morning in northwest Indiana. He has been identified as Nicholas B. Moore, 26, of Gary, Ind., according to a release from the Lake County Coroner's office. Merrillville police were chasing Moore after he carjacked a black Mercedes sedan shortly after 10 a.m., officers at the scene said. Moore drove north into Gary, where police followed him onto Georgia Street and then north to Ridge Road (U.S. 6), where Merrillville police said they abandoned the pursuit.

16-year-old boy was killed and two other people were injured after the stolen car they were in hit a pole during a police chase early Monday morning on Detroit’s east side, according to Detroit police. The crash came after a reported carjacking at 1:55 a.m. in the area of Van Dyke and Outer Drive. A police patrol saw the 1994 Dodge Duster shortly afterward, and a pursuit ensued, Sgt. Michael Woody with Detroit Police Department said.

One person died and two others were arrested late Tuesday morning after a speeding car crashed on Highway 78, according to DeKalb County police. Police say an officer in the area saw the car speeding, and soon after that arrived at the crash scene. According to police, two people jumped out of the car just after the crash and ran away. They were arrested a short time later. A third person was found inside the wrecked car, badly injured. That person later died at the hospital. The car involved in the accident had been stolen, according to police.

Sheriff Deputies from Miami County have arrested a man they believe is responsible for stealing two vehicles then crashing one in a rural area. Undersheriff Wayne Minckley said the suspect stole a car from a home in Johnson County, Kan. The suspect then ditched that car in Miami County and stole a second car near 255th Street and Metcalf. The residents heard the commotion of a thief stealing their car and called authorities. While running away from deputies, the suspect crashed near 223rd and Metcalf.
