Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Highland Road just south of Shelton Matlock Road Wednesday afternoon. Martin L Chappell, 50 of Shelton, was northbound on Highland Road in a 1988 Subaru Station Wagon. The driver of a southbound Chevrolet Blazer — Norberto Bravo-Vasquez, 56 — didn’t stop at the intersection with a two-way stop at Van Buren Road and slammed into an Acura headed west at 11:24 a.m., said Washington State Patrol Trooper Keith Leary. An eastbound Jeep Cherokee, slowing to turn left onto Van Buren, was struck head-on by the Acura.

A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was stopped just east of Collins Road, waiting to make a left turn, when a Honda Accord heading the same direction failed to stop, hitting the motorcycle from behind.
