Chris A. Lawley, 26, of Oak Harbor was traveling westbound on Salem Carroll Rd. James E. Swift Sr., 86, also of Oak Harbor, was northbound on Behlman Rd. and stopped at the stop sign at the Salem Carroll Rd. intersection.Swift Sr. then failed to yield and was hit by Lawley. Swift Sr's vehicle then went off the side of the roadway and rolled over. Both drivers were taken to nearby hospitals. 66-year-old Mark A. Swift, also of Oak Harbor, was a passenger in Swift Sr.'s car and was pronounced deceased at the crash site. He was not wearing his seat belt.

A small plane has crashed in Ottawa County, according to local law enforcement. The crash is in Port Clinton, not far from the Erie–Ottawa International Airport. Local media outlets are reporting that there are fatalities. The crash happened about 3 p.m. just off state Route 163 along East Harbor Road. Sarah Jennifer Hall, 34, of Port Clinton was driving westbound on Bay Shore near State when her Honda went off the right side of the road into the ditch, struck a utility pole, overturned, and finally came to rest its left side. Ohio Highway Patrol believes alcohol was a factor. Hall was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The 14 year old passenger of driver Austin Limpf is dead after a rollover crash after Limpf falls asleep while driving on State Route 105 in Harris Township.
