Police in Everson say a 79-year-old retired dairy farmer has died in a tractor accident. Officers arrived at the crash scene to find a large tractor belonging to Jake Tiemersma Jr. pressed up against a barn wall, still running. The man's body was about 35 feet away. MacPhee says the tractor had rolled over him. The Bellingham Herald reports that the Whatcom County medical examiner's office found no signs of foul play.

The 17-year-old driver of a car involved in a fatal crash in Tacoma has been charged with vehicular homicide. The Pierce County prosecutor filed the charge Monday against Eduardo Francisco Francisco-Andres in juvenile court.
