Four people were hurt when a car being chased by police crashed into a power pole in Sun Valley Sunday night, officials said.
The Toyota crashed about 8:45 p.m. in the 9300 block of Glenoaks Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers first thought three people were injured until they realized one person was trapped in the wreckage.
The four people were wanted by police for burglary, and they will be taken into custody after medical treatment, LAPD officials said.
A vehicle in San Francisco’s South of Market district fatally struck a pedestrian early Sunday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
At about 2:35 a.m. the CHP received a report of a pedestrian who had been struck near the Fourth Street on-ramp to westbound Interstate Highway 80, the CHP said.
The pedestrian died at the scene and the driver of the vehicle cooperated with the investigation, according to the CHP.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation and the name of the deceased pedestrian has not yet been released, the CHP said.

Part of state Highway 29 in Napa was reopened Saturday morning after an injury crash blocked both traffic in both directions of the roadway, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 6:45 a.m. on Highway 29 at Whitehall Lane, the CHP was reporting.
