One person was killed and three others were injured in a one-car crash on Rutherford Boulevard early Wednesday morning. Police say Robert S. Cook, from Burns, TN, lost his life as a passenger in the car that crashed about 3:30 a.m. on Rutherford Boulevard near Prestwick Drive. According to authorities, the driver, Sheila Holmes, lost control of the car on a curve, hit the center median, then hit a utility pole on the other side of the road. Two other passengers in the car were hurt, and police say another passenger, Nicholas Parker, left the scene and hasn't been found.

Emergency workers in Robertson County can't believe a man walked away from a terrible accident without being seriously hurt. Police say Christopher Burnette's vehicle hit a guardrail on Tom Austin Highway in Springfield and then rolled multiple times, all the way down to the bottom of a 50-foot ravine just after midnight Wednesday. Burnette, who had a broken arm but no serious injuries, was able to walk back up to the highway and wait for help. The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating the wreck.

Three young people were injured, including two who were airlifted to the hospital, after a crash on Tuesday afternoon in Stewart County. The Tennessee Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Jessie Cramer, of Paris, TN, was driving a 2008 Chevy Cobalt south on U.S. 79 near Bumpus Mills Road in Dover when the car crossed into the oncoming lane and struck a guardrail about 4 p.m. Cobalt and a 14-year-old passenger were transported by medical helicopter to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

A late-night crash caused by a wrong-way driver killed one person on Monday night. Police said the driver was traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of Eagle Way Bypass and hit two other cars head-on. The passenger in the wrong-way car died at the scene, and three others were taken to the hospital. Police have not identified any of the victims. At this time, police are not sure why the driver was driving in the wrong lane.

Eight people were hospitalized following a crash near downtown Nashville early Sunday morning.

A taxi collided with an SUV just before 3 a.m. at the corner of Charlotte and 17th Avenue North.

The taxi driver and his five passengers were hospitalized along with two individuals in the SUV.

None of the victims' injuries were life-threatening.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.

A Clarksville man was struck and killed by a tractor trailer Friday morning on State Route 76.

Clarksville police said 44-year-old Christopher Brian Johnson was hit about 7:15 a.m. between Fire Station Road and Huntco Drive.

Family members told investigators it was Johnson's normal routine to walk or ride a bicycle in the area for exercise.

Police said the truck driver was heading northeast toward Interstate 24 when the tractor trailer hit Johnson. Officials also have not released the name of the truck driver or the company for which he was driving.

A duo accused of stealing a car and crashing it in North Nashville in the wee hours of this morning -- killing a backseat passenger -- face a variety of charges and may have links to an earlier car theft.

Driver Derrick Thomas, 16, of Torbett Street, was treated and released from Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He's being booked into juvenile detention and will be facing charges of vehicular homicide, vehicular assault, evading police, driving without a license, curfew violation and auto theft.

A 50-year-old man is in critical condition after he was struck by a car on Interstate 24 exit ramp near the Shelby Street exit Thursday night.

Crews were called to the scene of the incident just after 7:01 p.m., according to Metro Police traffic data. The westbound exit ramp from Interstate 40 and 24 has been blocked and is expected to stay closed until 11:30 p.m.

The victim was sent to a local hospital after being evaluated by medics. No additional information about the circumstances surrounding the incident were available.

One person is dead after a car hit a rock wall in Christian County Thursday evening.

Officials say the single-vehicle wreck happened on the Hopkinsville Bypass between Cadiz Road and Princeton Road at 5:47 p.m.

The person's name has not been released at this time.

Officials say speed is considered to be a factor in the crash.
