Two people have been killed after their motorcycle collided with a vehicle that pulled in front of it on New Years day. Garland police say 54-year-old Ronald Hawley and his wife, 60-year-old Deborah Hawley, died Thursday at a hospital from injuries suffered the day before. Police say the Hawleys, who lived in Garland, were not wearing helmets when they were thrown into the roadway.

According to Coppell Police, a Hurst resident crashed into a median, and ended up in Grapevine Creek. 61 year old, Jay T. Clement, died in the single car crash. He was traveling eastbound on I-635, when his Toyota Highlander left the roadway and continued in the median, where it finally came to a stop in the creek. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Rescuers in Lewisville are on the scene of a serious crash involving a school bus and at least two vehicles. The accident happened on Highway 121 Business and Railroad Street, just east of Interstate-35E and south of Main Street. The school bus was empty, besides the driver. There are reports that the driver of one of the vehicles ran a red light and hit the school bus.

A woman was killed late Christmas night while trying to cross train tracks near the Arlington-Grand Prairie line.

The incident occurred just before midnight at Division Street and Great Southwest Parkway. According to police, the train was traveling roughly 50 mph.
Authorities say — although the crossing arm was down — the woman went under it, tried to cross the tracks, and was hit by the train.

Seven people have reportedly been injured after a multi-vehicle crash near I-35E and Eighth Street in Dallas that involved a Dallas Area Rapid Transit bus.

DART officials said five vehicles crashed underneath the Eighth Street bridge after a red van cut off the bus and then hit the barrier wall. Three people in that vehicle were taken to an area hospital.

One man was killed and another injured after their vehicle struck a guard rail in South Dallas early Saturday morning.

Police responded to the scene in the 4600 block of RL Thornton Freeway at Ann Arbor Avenue at 3:18 a.m. According to police, no other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The driver of the vehicle managed to exit the vehicle following the crash, but later collapsed and was pronounced deceased.

The condition of the passenger is unknown.
Authorities are still investigating to determine factors that may have contributed to the crash.

A grandfather is being held in the Dallas County Jail following a motor vehicle crash that killed his five-year-old grandson. Jail officials said 52-year-old Tony Dickerson was involved in a motor vehicle crash around 9 p.m. at Beltline and Simonds in Seagoville. Police said Dickerson crashed his pick-up truck while driving with his grandson. Dickerson's five-year-old grandson, Josiah Andres Dickerson, was transported to Children's Medical Center where he was pronounced dead Sunday night.

At least two people are dead and several more injured after a wreck along a busy stretch of Oak Cliff Saturday afternoon. It happened just after 2:00 p.m. near the intersection of Jefferson Blvd. and Rosemont Avenue. It's unclear what led up to the crash or how a white vehicle and a black vehicle came into contact with each other. Both were headed westbound on Jefferson Blvd. and both hit a lamp post along the divided roadway. Residents in the area who arrive after the accident said as many as three people and a child were in the white vehicle. The driver of that vehicle died at the scene.

A person was thrown from a bridge during a multi-vehicle crash along Interstate 20 Thursday night.

Two tractor trailers and seven other vehicles were involved in the crash near the Anglin overpass and I-20 in Forest Hill, according to MedStar.

MedStar confirmed that someone was thrown off the bridge onto the railroad tracks below. Kennedale EMS transported the victim to the hospital.

It is unknown at this time the severity of the person's injuries.

MedStar said three other people were injured and all suffered minor injuries.

Westbound lanes of Interstate 30 in Grand Prairie have reopened after a fiery semi crash closed several lanes overnight. The accident happened at about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes of I-30 a half mile east of MacArthur Boulevard. When Grand Prairie firefighters arrived on the scene an 18-wheeler was on fire. The driver was outside the big rig. Paramedics say he was alert and talking, he was taken to Methodist Hospital in Dallas for treatment.
