A kayaker who died on Lake Sutherland Saturday was identified Monday as a 57-year-old Ramona man .

Leonard Kevin Jones' body was recovered from the lake by San Diego Lifeguard divers Sunday morning, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office.

A city worker noticed an upside down kayak at Lake Sutherland Dam just after 1:30 p.m. Saturday, a San Diego County sheriff's Lt. said.

The city worker told authorities the man, who frequently fishes at the lake, had a heart condition, another sheriff's official said.

Two people have died and a third is in critical condition following a rollover crash in Bridgeport late Saturday night.

Police said 35-year-old Steven Mountjoy and 22-year-old Yasmin Pedroza were killed in the crash. Bryan Bruwor, 33, is in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital and was in surgery after the accident. It's not clear who was driving the car.

Florida Highway Patrol says a body found in Brevard County is related a fatal crash from over the weekend.

Troopers said Art Stroud, 60, was found dead at State Road A1A and Pine Tree Drive Monday morning in the same location that a fatal crash occurred on Saturday.

FHP said they believe Stroud was walking along the east shoulder of SR A1A when he was struck by one of the vehicles involved in the crash on Saturday. Stroud was found on the east shoulder of SR A1A in the thick brush at around 9 a.m. on Monday.

An El Reno teenager died Sunday morning, and three others were critically injured after an early morning traffic wreck, the Canadian County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Jesse Gorbet, 16, died after the wreck about 12:15 a.m. at Britton and Manning roads. Gorbet was driving a pickup and there were five teenage passengers, all of whom were injured.

Providence police say a motorist was 2 1/2 times the legal limit for alcohol when he hit a parked car, nearly crashed into a police cruiser and sped through Providence with a street sign lodged under his truck.

Flynn D. Grinnan of Providence was charged with driving under the influence and 10 traffic violations, after his arrest on Saturday.

Police stated that his blood-alcohol level was 0.2 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.

A police officer said Grinnan’s truck veered onto a sidewalk, taking down a ‘‘no parking’’ sign and dragging it.

Police are investigating a double fatality accident which occurred late Saturday night.

Rodney Strickell, 53 of Wellsville, and Dylan Strickell, 17, of Lawrence, were traveling together in a vehicle heading southbound on Douglas County Road 1061, when police say their vehicle failed to stop at the intersection at U-56. A second vehicle was traveling eastbound on U-56, and struck the Strickell’s vehicle on the passenger side door.

One person is dead after a rollover crash in Windham Saturday night.

Police say they were called to North Lowell Road just before 7:30 p.m. where they discovered a woman inside an overturned vehicle.

Police identified the sole occupant as Angela Cataldi, 25, of Derry.

Cataldi was taken to the hospital where police say she later died from her injuries.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

An Arlington man was arrested after crashing his car into a busy restaurant, injuring a person who was dining inside.

It happened around 6 p.m. at Scutra Restaurant on Summer Street.

A 70-year-old woman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, the driver, Nick Martirosyan, 57, of Arlington, was placed under arrest and charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol (second offense) and negligent driving.

Roderick G. Mabon, 53, died in a car crash early Saturday morning (March 1) in rural Washington Parish.

Mabon, driving a 1994 Chevrolet truck, veered off Highway 38 westbound in Franklinton shortly after midnight, according to a State Police spokesman. The car hurtled into a ditch, traveled about 250 feet and struck a tree. The coroner pronounced Mabon dead at the scene.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. The police do not suspect Mabon was impaired by drugs or alcohol but are conducting a toxicological analysis. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Boise Police responded to a two vehicle crash on Curtis Road Saturday evening that sent both drivers to the hospital.

Police say a four door Honda and a Ford Expedition collided in the intersection of Curtis Road and Plymouth Street. The driver of the Honda is hospitalized with serious injuries.

At this point police say it appears the driver of the Expedition failed to yield and officers believe alcohol may be involved.

The crash closed Curtis Road for nearly one hour.
