The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has identified the man who died after being hit by a pickup truck Friday as Jesus Perez, 80.
Perez was crossing the street at night in the busy intersection of Walzem Road and Austin Highway on the Northeast Side.
The driver said he did not see Perez in time to stop. He called police after hitting Perez.
The driver is not facing any charges.
A 66-year-old San Diego man who died when his car veered into a parked pickup Friday was identified, the Medical Examiner's Office said Monday.
Gregory Gorelik was heading east on Main Street near South 29th Street about 1:25 a.m. in a 2014 Kia when the car smashed into an unoccupied truck, San Diego police said.
Residents nearby heard the accident and called 911. Police performed CPR, but Gorelik died.
It’s unclear what caused him to crash, but it may have been related to a medical condition, police said.

Geraldo Rivera, 48, is facing one count of leaving the scene of a crash involving a death. He was booked into the Hillsborough County Jail just after 5 am Saturday and is being held on a bond of $15,000.
According to the suspect’s arrest report he was arrested just after midnight at his home in the 900 block of East 26th Ave. His residence is approximately two miles from the site of the fatal crash.
Two people were critically hurt after a car crashed head-on into a semi-truck near Washington.
Sherlene Olaguez, 55, was driving north Friday evening on Interstate 15 when she "might have suffered a medical condition, which caused her to lose control of her vehicle," said Utah Highway Patrol Trooper Lawrence Hopper. About 7:55 p.m., Olaguez crossed into the southbound lanes, where she crashed head-on into a semi near mile marker 13, the trooper said.
Two pedestrians died after being hit by a car near the Las Vegas Strip Friday night.
Las Vegas police supervisor Lt. Roger Price said two pedestrians were crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk by the Rio hotel and casino, near the intersection of Flamingo Road and Arville Street, when they were struck by a vehicle just after 10 p.m.
The vehicle fled the scene, Price said. A description of the vehicle was not immediately available.
The Clark County coroner’s office will release the identities of the two pedestrians after their families have been notified.
Police say one person is dead after a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided on Highway N just west of the intersection with Sommers Road around 4:00 p.m.
Authorities said Stanley A Bazan, 29, was traveling westbound on Route N when the driver of a Ford F150 that was traveling eastbound swerved into the westbound lane in an effort to avoid stopped traffic. According to police, the driver then hit Bazan's car head on.
Bazan was taken to hospital but later died.
Investigators have identified the man struck and killed by an Amtrak train in Tuscaloosa Thursday afternoon as a local 21-year-old man.
Sgt. Dale Phillips, the commander of the Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit, said the victim was Cecil Dillon Ross, who was struck by the train and killed around 1 p.m. Thursday.
Phillips said witnesses reported that Ross was wearing headphones while walking down the track and may have never heard the train coming.
