A Tennessee man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 Tuesday night. Jason Mitchell, 40, of Milan, Tennessee, died when his vehicle slammed into a ditch. Mitchell's vehicle went across two lanes of westbound traffic before entering the ditch. Mitchell was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.  No other injuries were reported in the crash. An investigation is ongoing.

According to authorities, 15-year-old Summer Ungerank of Pocahontas was killed when the 2008 Chevrolet Aveo she was riding in ran off of Bellview Road at a high speed, struck a tree, and overturned. The accident happened at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Randolph County. Two other teen girls in the vehicle, ages 16 and 14, recieved unknown injuries in the accident. We'll update this story as more information becomes available.

Three people died and one was injured in a Mississippi County crash on Sunday morning on on Interstate 55. Elva Figurero, 46, Gabriel Figurero, 46, and Navor Medina, 36, were killed in the crash when the SUV they were riding in had a left rear tire blowout. The driver then over corrected, rolled over, and entered a ditch. Two people were pronounced deceased at the crash site, another died at a local hospital. The driver of the vehicle, Francisco Figurero, was taken to a Memphis hospital, and his condition is unknown at this time.

A Mena woman died Friday morning when her car crashed with a tractor-trailer. Carolyn Standridge, 66, was driving a 2000 Lincoln on U.S. 71 near Mena. John Draper, 46, of Shreveport, La., was driving a tractor-trailer north on 71. At about 6:20 a.m., Standridge’s car crossed the center line into the northbound lane and collided with the tractor-trailer. Standridge was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:06 a.m., while Draper was not injured.

Jimmy A. Holland of Edgemont was driving north on Arkansas Highway 25 around 5:30 p.m. when a vehicle traveling south, driven by Bobby Stark of Searcy swerved into oncoming traffic. Stark's vehicle struck the left front of Holland's vehicle, killing Holland. Stark was brought to the hospital in Heber Springs; his condition is unknown at this time.

One woman died and three other people were injured in a four-vehicle crash Monday morning. Cynthia Simmons, 61, of Blytheville was killed in the accident on Interstate 55 at the 67 mile marker just after 4:30 a.m. Latonya Harvey of Blytheville lost control on ice while trying to stop on a bridge. The vehicle Simmons was driving hit Harvey's vehicle and spun onto the shoulder. Another driver, Avery Jackson of Blytheville, also lost control but managed to stop in the right lane. Anthony Green of Sikeston, MO struck Jackson's vehicle and then hit Simmons.

At about 5:30am, Patterson lost control of her vehicle on an icy bridge of Highway 64 and collided with a pickup truck, then a concrete barrier, where her vehicle caught fire. A semi-truck then tried to avoid the wreck but ended up hitting the pickup truck and swinging into oncoming traffic, hitting two more vehicles. Patterson was killed, and everyone else involved except for the driver of the semi truck, David Tidd, was hospitalized. Check back for more details as the investigation of this accident continues.

 Damontay Wright reportedly tried to get a driver's lisence at the State Police Headquarters, but when an officer asked him about driving without a license, he got in his car and drove away. Officers chased him until he crashed into a home. Fortunately no one was hurt.

Two people died in a car accident on Interstate 40 in West Memphis, Arkansas. Six cars were involved in the crash and at least one of them caught fire. Investigators think the weather and construction on I-40 were factors in the crash.  A 13-year-old girl is among those people injured, and is being treated at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital.

Five people from Indiana were killed when their van crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate 30 in southwest Arkansas Tuesday night near Hope. The van swerved into the tractor-trailer, and then the van crashed into the median. All five people in the van were killed. The victims were identified as 77-year-old Ronald Pate, 81-year-old Phillip Pate, 75-year-old Donna Pate, 69-year-old Connie Richards and 70-year-old Gloria Bryant. State police say the three members of the Pate family were from Bloomington, while Richards was from Fishers and Bryant was from Solsberry.
