A high-speed crash in Covington Saturday morning ended in the death of a 14-year-old Folsom boy. Sloan McDow died after a car being driven by Brandon Bigner, 21, collided with an 18-wheeler on U.S. 190. Troopers pulled the car over for speeding over 100 mph just before the crash. A 14-year-old boy was driving the car at that time. While a trooper was talking to the 14-year-old outside the car, Bigner moved into the driver's seat and fled. About two miles west Bigner crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an 18-wheeler driven by Walker Hurt, 62.
