Recovery efforts continue today for a missing boater after a Tuesday crash on the Coosa River.

The missing man is Steve Tripp, owner of Revolution Performance Marine, a company that makes high-performance boats. Authorities said the boat was traveling more than 100 mph when it broke up on the other side of an island just downstream from the U.S. 280 bridge.

Workers at Revolution Performance Marine declined to comment Wednesday. The search was called off at sunset Tuesday, and resumed early Wednesday.
