Tucson, AZJust after 11 p.m., a single-vehicle crash occured at the intersection of East Aviation Parkway and East Golf Links Road that resulting in the death of the driver and two passengers being critically injured. Investigators say that the car struck a curb, causing the driver to lose control, and the car to roll. The driver and front passenger were ejected from the car, while the backseat passenger remained inside the vehicle as it rolled. No one in the vehicle was wearing a seatbelt. The driver of the vehicle died at the scene, and has been identified as George Pierce, 51.

Phoenix, AZTwo men were riding the an off-road vehicle near 99th and Glendale avenues around 7:40 p.m. Wednesday when the driver, identified as Jeovanny Mendieta, 40, failed to properly negotiate a curve, which cause the vehicle to flip. Mendieta was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, a 27-year-old man, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Tucson, AZA Thursday collision on Interstate 10 involving two commercial vehicles left one person dead and two injured. At approximately 6:30 PM, one of the vehicles was sitting in the emergency lane on I-10 east and began to merge into moving traffic. An oncoming vehicle attempted to avoid striking the first, swerving into the emergency lane, rear-ending the merging vehicle. The crash partially blocked traffic on I-10 for more than 12 hours. The driver of the first vehicle, Ronald W. Pinkey, 42, was injured and sent to the hospital. The second driver, Jeffrey S. Sneed, 44, died at the accident site.
