Monica Soto was a passenger with two other people in a westbound car on Maryland Avenue about 11:30 p.m. Sunday when the car veered into oncoming traffic, onto a curb, and into a park at 47th Avenue, where it struck concrete barriers. Soto was kiled, and the other two occupants were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
