Wednesday, April 23, 2014A driver trying to pass slower cars collided with a semi on the Beeline Highway Thursday and died upon impact, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office.
Traffic investigators say Chad M. Sutphin, 26, of Boca Raton was westbound on the Beeline when he attempted to pass other vehicles.
The sheriff's office says 44-year-old Oscar Vargas of Philadelphia was eastbound pulling a 48-foot trailer with three vehicles on it when he and Sutphin collided.
Vargas was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
