Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA Farmington man died after his car hit a tree in Red Wing on Saturday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.
The state patrol says the 24-year-old man was driving on Cannon River Avenue off of Highway 61 around 4:30 a.m. when he ran off the road. He then hit a tree, the state patrol says.
The state patrol says it was a single car accident. His identity has not been released until officers are able to notify family.
The Dakota County Sheriff's Office, Goodhue County Sheriff's Office and the Red Wing Police Department are assisting.

Minneapolis-St. Paul, MNA 57-year-old rural Red Wing man died Friday morning after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pickup.
Delbert Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office.
According to a release from Sheriff Scott McNurlin, Hardy was entering Goodhue County Road 3 from the lawn of his home at 25465 County Road 3 when he was struck by an eastbound pickup. Hardy was wearing a helmet.
The pickup, which had a plow attached to the front, was driven by Duane Stemmann, 66, also of rural Red Wing. Stemmann wasn't injured, the release said.
