A two-car accident south of Cannon Falls, Minnesota has injured one person near Cannon Falls, Minnesota. The accident occured on Highway 52. Earl Booth, 54, was driving his car south when he struck a guardrail and his car spun around, being struck by another southbound car driven by Kelly J. Hovel, 38. Booth was sent to the Saint Marys Campus of Mayo Clinic Hospital. His injuries were reported as non-life-threatening. The passengers in the second vehicle were her spouse, Kelly A. Hovel, 37, Brody N. Hovel, 7, and Brynn R. Hovel, 3.

A car accident near Zumbrota, Minnesota has claimed the lives of two people and injured another Friday night. The accident occured on Highway 52 several miles norrth of the town shortly before 8:39 PM. A car heading south veered into oncoming traffic, colliding with a tractor trailer. The stopped car was then hit by a second semi. Juan P. Martinez, 47, and Aisha Y. Ruiz, 23, were both killed in the accident as their car was struck by the trucks. Paul Martinez, 22, the third person in the car, was airlifted to the Saint Marys Campus of Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota.

A Farmington man died after his car hit a tree in Red Wing on Saturday morning, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The state patrol says the 24-year-old man was driving on Cannon River Avenue off of Highway 61 around 4:30 a.m. when he ran off the road. He then hit a tree, the state patrol says.

The state patrol says it was a single car accident. His identity has not been released until officers are able to notify family.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office, Goodhue County Sheriff's Office and the Red Wing Police Department are assisting.

A Cannon Falls man was seriously injured Friday morning when the pickup he was driving was hit by a straight truck west of Cannon Falls.

Curtis A. Rauvola, 75, was taken to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The patrol said he was driving west on 300th Street Way when he pulled out in front of the truck, which was being driven north on Minnesota Highway 56 by Terry L. Walker, of Lodi, Wis. The pickup was hit in the driver's door. Walker was not injured.

The accident was reported at 10:16 a.m.

A 57-year-old rural Red Wing man died Friday morning after the snowmobile he was driving collided with a pickup. Delbert Hardy was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Goodhue County Sheriff's Office. According to a release from Sheriff Scott McNurlin, Hardy was entering Goodhue County Road 3 from the lawn of his home at 25465 County Road 3 when he was struck by an eastbound pickup. Hardy was wearing a helmet. The pickup, which had a plow attached to the front, was driven by Duane Stemmann, 66, also of rural Red Wing. Stemmann wasn't injured, the release said.
